Vital Records
|
The Kalamazoo County Clerk/Register Office is staffed by
volunteers from the Kalamazoo Valley Genealogical Society to
assist the public with genealogical research.
The following records are available for research in the
Kalamazoo County Clerk/ Register's Office:
 |
Birth Records, 1867 to present
|
 |
Marriage Records, 1831 to present
|
 |
Death Records, 1867 to present
|
All the
above records are open to the public, with the exception of
birth records. However, if a person is deceased, an heir
or descendant may access the person's birth record by providing
a copy of the individual's death record. The requestor
must provide a copy of his/her own birth certificate for proof
of relationship. If you are requesting a birth record 110 years
old or older, a death record for that individual is not needed.
Kalamazoo County vital records are also on-line through the
efforts of Kalamazoo Genealogy.
