Both the General and Board meetings are free and open to the public.  Guests are welcome and encouraged to come.

Unless otherwise noted, our General Meetings are held at the Portage District Library on the third Monday of each month.  The General Meeting is actually two meetings in one.

At 6:15pm, a 45-minute Mini-Class is held to help KVGS members and guests acquire tools, techniques, and resources for more effective genealogical research.

The General Meeting will start at 7:00pm and begin with business of the Society.  Then a guest speaker to highlight a night of genealogical information.

Board Meetings are held at the Portage District Library on the second Wednesday of each month.  The Board meetings are used to handle all business aspects of the society and are open to the public.

Each spring, we have one General Meeting that is held at the Western Michigan University Archives and Regional History Collection.  This is an opportunity for everyone to take advantage of the resources by researching before and after the general meeting and to see "What's New at the Archives".
