This tour is specifically designed for genealogical research
purposes however our coach will be available for extra excursions in
which our group may wish to participate.
Such options will include a visit to Arlington National Cemetery
($7.50),
Mount Vernon ($14.00) and a visit to Alexandria including a
Potomac River Luncheon Cruise ($43.50).
We have secured
Congressional passes for a visit to the
House Chamber
(whether in session on not in session) and for a
Senate
Session if in session.
We’ll explore the city again this year by offering an
illuminated evening driving tour past the
U. S.
Capitol,
White House,
Supreme
Court,
Smithsonian and
Iwo Jima and the
9/11
Memorial at the Pentagon. An optional narrated sightseeing
“trolley day” aboard the Old Town Trolley is offered for an
additional $35.00 (to be purchased at
Union
Station or
Washington DC Visitors Center -downtown). Old Town Trolley

Our
coach will shuttle between The
Arlington Residence Court Hotel
and the libraries each morning then again in the afternoon.
Transportation to the Archives and Libraries via the Metro
Transit System Court House Station is located two blocks from our
hotel and free shuttle service is offered to the station.
There
are ample shopping opportunities and restaurants within walking
distance as well. Rooms
have free wireless internet for evening research and there is a
business center located on the property for your convenience.

Agenda
Day 1
We will depart from Center Medical Supply, 5125
Portage Rd. at I-94. (vehicle parking is
available) and travel to Washington DC with a
mid-evening arrival. Rest breaks and meal stops
every 2-3 hours enroute.
Day 2
After our Full American Breakfast Buffet, the
day is free for research. An abbreviated buffet
dinner is served at the hotel. Time is available
for an illuminated city tour this evening.
Day 3
Full American Breakfast Buffet this morning
followed by free day for research. Optional tour
of Arlington National Cemetery is offered this
afternoon followed by an abbreviated buffet
dinner at the hotel. We will visit the 9/11
Memorial at the Pentagon this evening. A small
flash light is suggested.
Day 4
Full American Breakfast Buffet will be served
this morning at the hotel followed by a day of
research. Today is our optional “Trolley Day.”
An abbreviated buffet dinner served this evening
at our hotel.
Day 5
Full American Breakfast Buffet is served this
morning at the hotel. Today is free for
research. An optional tour to
Mount Vernon is offered today.
Dinner on own and free evening.
Day 6
After our Full American Breakfast Buffet, the
day is free for research. An optional tour to
Alexandria, VA and a Potomac River luncheon
cruise is scheduled.
Dinner on own and free evening.
Day 7
After our Full American Breakfast Buffet, we
will depart for Kalamazoo. Rest and meal stops
every 2 – 3 hours enroute are scheduled
including an Amish dinner at Sauder Village’s
Old Barn Restaurant with
an
expected mid-evening arrival at Kalamazoo.
